The Araya Project (Figure 1) occupies the south-central portion of the large Naltagua Copper System and encompasses at least 16 historical workings.

Due to the higher copper grade (+4% Cu), historical production came principally from adits driven into the mineralized black shales. By contrast, Equus is focusing on evaluating the much larger, bulk-tonnage copper resource potential of the altered (silica-epidote) andesite hydrothermal breccias (Figure 2).
